London Things
Having moved house, I have a new route to work that includes a 25 minute walk. I have the option of taking a tube for two stops instead but much prefer to walk. Here are a some of the things I passed on my way in today:
Buckingham Palace
The Ritz Hotel
A Rolls Royce showroom
A man sleeping in the doorway of New Bond Street jewelers
A man dressed as a pirate
Along with the bobby on the beat, the black taxis, the red telephone box, the pigeons and the icy drizzle it couldn't really be any more stereotypically London.

I used to live in Queen's Park and work on Bankside, so my morning cycle would take me past Green Park, Marble Arch, Hyde Park, St James' Park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.
Doesn't get much better than that.
Sounds nice.
As a workmate just pointed out, it's a shame that bowler hats and Routemaster buses aren't so likely to appear en route any more.
What route are you taking?
Also, apropos nothing, that Doc Scott mix you gave me a while back is well good, I'm just discovering.
A train from Denmark Hill to Victoria, then a walk via Buckingham Palace, through the park to Green Park Station, across Piccadilly and up to Oxford Circus, taking various routes through Mayfair.
And yeah, it's a fantastic mix. Doc Scott is, in my view, the most talented drum and bass DJ, AND it's from 1996, when the genre was actually good. A winning combination.
