Do you reckon that before the pelican did it he could hear a breathy female voice going: "This is not just a pigeon. This is a St James's park, hand-reared, sombre-feathered spicy butter-smothered o-r-g-a-n-i-c pigeon with thyme, marjoram, blank lifeless eyes and a w-h-i-s-p-e-r of lime zest", while that mellow guitar track warbled away in the background.

"Sh-she MADE me do it"

Yes, almost definitely. God I hate those adverts.

More importantly, nobody seems to notice the oh-so-clever tabloid-esque headline I titled this post with.

I thought it was bloody hilarious anyway...

Hi Ade,

this is the only place where i could find to leave you a messsage so i hop you get it.

I'm currently at uni at leeds and am doing a module in web design as part off my course and have found you through the technique web site.

I really like you the sharpness of you sites and it has given me a lot of insight into web design and css.

One thing i really liked was your banner changing on your site everytime you load the page. How did you do this as i can't seem to find any Java Script that relates to this on your page.

Many thanks,

Jacob Wheeler

Thanks for getting in touch. If you provide me with an email address I'll get back to you.

If you're worried about spam, use [at] instead of @. And I'll take down your comment once I have it.

Cheers,
A.

Great headline and insight into the kind of people who get in touch with the world reknown Ade Rowbotham!

Ironically, the mellow guitar track used as backing on that Marks and Spencers commercial is none other than Fleetwood Mac's Albatross (which is readily available with roughly 30% of those free cds the red tops give away at the weekend)
